Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Duely mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Duely ("we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Duely provides a subscription tracking and management service that allows you to:
- Track your active subscriptions and recurring payments
- Forward subscription emails for automatic AI-powered data extraction
- Receive renewal reminders via push notifications and email
- Monitor free trial periods with countdown alerts
- View spending analytics and subscription history
- Receive AI-powered price hike alerts for your subscriptions
- Organize subscriptions by category
- Access cancellation links for popular services
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Creation
- You may create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
- One account per user; multiple accounts are not permitted
3.2 Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- All activities that occur under your account
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide
4. Subscription Plans and Features
4.1 Free Tier
The free tier includes:
- Track up to 3 active subscriptions
- 1 verified sender email for forwarding
- AI-powered email parsing
- Free trial tracking with alerts
- Push notifications for reminders
- 1-day and 3-day reminder options at 9 AM
- Basic spending dashboard
- Up to 5 email forwards per day
4.2 Premium Tier
Premium subscribers receive all free features plus:
- Unlimited subscriptions - No limit on tracked subscriptions
- 3 verified sender emails - Forward from multiple email addresses
- Spending analytics - Charts showing spending by category and trends
- AI-powered price hike alerts - Get notified when services announce price increases
- Custom reminder days - Set reminders for 0, 7, 14, 30+ days before renewal
- Custom reminder time - Choose your preferred notification time
- Email reminders - Receive renewal reminders via email
- Up to 20 email forwards per day

5. User Content and Data
5.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of all subscription data you enter or that we extract from forwarded emails. By using our Service, you grant us permission to:
- Store and process your subscription data
- Use AI (Claude by Anthropic) to extract information from forwarded emails
- Sync data across your devices
- Provide notifications about your subscriptions
- Analyze price changes to provide price hike alerts
5.2 Email Forwarding
When you forward emails to your unique Duely address:
- You grant us permission to process the email content
- We will extract subscription information using AI
- Original email content is processed but not permanently stored in raw form
- You are responsible for what you forward (don't forward sensitive personal information beyond subscription details)
- Emails must be forwarded from verified sender email addresses only
- The original recipient of forwarded emails must match your verified email addresses
5.3 Verified Sender Emails
To prevent abuse and ensure security:
- Only emails forwarded from your verified email addresses will be processed
- Free users can verify 1 email address; Premium users can verify up to 3
- The receipt's original recipient must also be a verified email to prevent third-party forwarding
6. Usage Limits and Fair Use
6.1 Email Forwarding Limits
To ensure fair use and prevent abuse:

Limits reset daily at midnight UTC. Emails that fail validation (wrong sender, not subscription-related) still count toward your limit.
6.2 Subscription Limits
- Free users: Up to 3 active subscriptions
- Premium users: Unlimited subscriptions
6.3 Email Pre-Filtering
To optimize service quality and reduce abuse:
- Emails are pre-screened for subscription-related keywords before AI processing
- Marketing emails, newsletters, and promotional content may be automatically rejected
- Emails must contain billing, subscription, or payment-related content
6.4 Email Rejection Reasons
Forwarded emails may be rejected for the following reasons:
- Not from verified sender: Email must be forwarded from one of your verified email addresses
- Third-party forwarding: The original receipt must have been sent to your verified email, not someone else's
- Not subscription-related: Email doesn't contain subscription, billing, or payment keywords
- One-time purchase: Shipping notifications, digital downloads, gift cards, tickets, and refunds are not subscriptions
- Installment payment: Buy-now-pay-later purchases (Klarna, Afterpay, etc.) are not recurring subscriptions
- Promotional/marketing email: Sale announcements, newsletters, and promotional offers are rejected
- Low confidence extraction: AI could not confidently identify subscription details
- Rate limit exceeded: Daily email forward limit reached (5/day free, 20/day premium)
- Subscription limit reached: Free tier limit of 3 subscriptions reached
Check your Email History in the app to see detailed rejection reasons for each forwarded email.
7. Acceptable Use
7.1 Permitted Use
You may use Duely for:
- Personal subscription tracking and management
- Managing your own recurring payments
- Receiving renewal reminders
- Analyzing your subscription spending
7.2 Prohibited Use
You may NOT:
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without written permission
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the Service
- Upload malicious content or spam
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service to track someone else's subscriptions without permission
- Abuse the email forwarding feature (e.g., sending excessive non-subscription emails)
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
- Forward emails containing illegal content
- Use automated systems to forward bulk emails
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
8. AI-Powered Features
8.1 Email Parsing
Our AI-powered email parsing:
- Uses Claude AI by Anthropic to extract subscription details
- May not achieve 100% accuracy in all cases
- You should verify important dates and amounts
- We continuously improve accuracy but cannot guarantee perfection
8.2 Email Processing Time
When you forward emails to Duely:
- Typical processing time: 30 seconds to 5 minutes from when you forward the email
- Factors affecting delay: Email provider delivery speed, server load, and AI processing time
- Maximum expected time: Up to 15 minutes in rare cases during high traffic periods
- Pull to refresh: Use pull-to-refresh in the app to check for newly processed subscriptions
- Email History: Check the Email History section to see the status of forwarded emails
We do not guarantee real-time processing. If an item doesn't appear within 15 minutes, check your Email History for any errors or rejections.
8.3 Price Hike Alerts (Premium)
Our AI monitors for price changes:
- Alerts are provided on a best-effort basis
- We may not detect all price changes immediately
- Alerts include affected regions and effective dates when available
- You can dismiss alerts once reviewed
9. Service Availability
9.1 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
- Update features and functionality
- Change or remove content
- Adjust usage limits with reasonable notice
- Update pricing with 30 days notice
9.2 No Warranty of Availability
While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary interruptions.
10. Fees and Payment
10.1 Subscription Plans
Duely offers Free and Premium subscription plans. Current pricing is available in the app and on our website.
10.2 Billing Platforms
Subscription payments are processed through:
- iOS: Apple App Store
- Android: Google Play Store
10.3 Automatic Renewal
Premium subscriptions:
- Renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Are charged to your App Store or Play Store account
- Can be managed in your device's subscription settings
10.4 Cancellation
To cancel your Premium subscription:
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Duely > Cancel
- Android: Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Duely > Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Premium features until then.
10.5 Downgrade to Free Tier
When your Premium subscription expires or is cancelled, your account will transition to the Free tier:
What You'll See:
- Subscription Limit: Only your 3 subscriptions with the soonest renewal dates will be accessible. Additional subscriptions will be locked (blurred) but not deleted.
- Locked Content Banner: A banner showing how many subscriptions are locked, with an option to upgrade.
- Spending Analytics: Premium analytics features will show an upgrade prompt.
- Price Alerts: Price hike alerts will no longer be displayed.
- Verified Emails: Only 1 verified sender email will remain active. Additional verified emails will be deactivated but not deleted.
Notifications You'll Receive:
- Expiration Warning: 7 days before your Premium subscription expires, you'll receive a reminder notification.
- Expiration Notice: When your subscription expires, you'll be notified of the transition to Free tier.
- Reminder Limitations: Custom reminder days (7, 14, 30+ days) will revert to free tier options (1 and 3 days only). Reminders will be sent at the default 9 AM time.
- Email Reminders: Email-based renewal reminders will be disabled; only push notifications will be sent for your 3 accessible subscriptions.
Your Data:
- All subscriptions are preserved - nothing is deleted when you downgrade.
- Locked subscriptions remain in your account and become accessible again if you resubscribe.
- Historical data is retained including spending history and subscription details.
- Verified emails are preserved and reactivate when you upgrade again.
Resubscription:
If you resubscribe to Premium:
- All locked subscriptions become immediately accessible.
- Your custom reminder preferences are restored.
- All verified sender emails are reactivated.
- You'll see a "Welcome Back" screen confirming your restored access.
10.6 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective store policies. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund inquiries.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Our IP
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Duely and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
11.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
12. Third-Party Services
Our Service uses third-party providers:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and real-time sync
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Email parsing and price alert classification
- SendGrid: Inbound email processing
- Resend: Outbound email notifications
- Apple Push Notification Service: iOS notifications
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Android notifications
- Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
13. Disclaimers
13.1 Service "As Is"
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of AI-extracted data
- Timeliness of price hike alerts
13.2 No Financial Advice
Duely is a tracking tool only. We do not provide financial advice, and the Service should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional financial planning.
13.3 Data Accuracy
While our AI strives to accurately extract subscription information:
- We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy
- Renewal dates and amounts should be verified by you
- Price hike alerts may not capture all price changes
- You are ultimately responsible for managing your subscriptions
13.4 Notification Delivery
While we make every effort to deliver notifications:
- Push notifications depend on device settings and network connectivity
- Email notifications may be affected by spam filters
- We cannot guarantee delivery of all notifications
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Duely shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater
- We are not responsible for missed payments or charges resulting from incorrect data or failed notifications
- We are not liable for loss of data due to technical failures
- We are not responsible for price changes you were not alerted to
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Duely harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you forward to Duely
- Abuse of the email forwarding feature
16. Termination
16.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account in the app settings
- Contacting support@getduely.app
16.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- You abuse the Service (excessive API calls, spam, etc.)
- Your account is inactive for more than 2 years
- We are required to do so by law
16.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- Active Premium subscriptions should be cancelled through App Store/Play Store
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
17. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
18. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when:
- We post the updated Terms on our website
- We notify you via email or in-app notification
- You continue to use the Service after changes take effect
Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
20. Dispute Resolution
20.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@getduely.app to resolve the dispute informally.
20.2 Arbitration
Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.
20.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a class member in any class action.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Duely regarding the Service.
