What is Duely?

Duely is a subscription tracking app that helps you manage all your recurring subscriptions in one place. It sends you reminders before renewal dates so you never get surprised by unexpected charges.

You can add subscriptions manually or automatically by forwarding your subscription emails to your unique Duely email address.

How do I add subscriptions?

There are two ways to add subscriptions:

  • Manually: Tap the + button and enter your subscription details (name, amount, billing cycle, renewal date).
  • Email Forwarding: Forward your subscription confirmation or receipt emails to your unique Duely email address. Our AI will automatically extract the subscription details.
Where do I find my forwarding email address?

Your unique forwarding email is shown on the Dashboard screen in the app. It looks like: yourname_abc123@inbound.getduely.app

You can tap it to copy it to your clipboard, then use it when setting up email forwarding from your email provider.

How does email forwarding work?

When you forward a subscription email to your Duely address:

  • Our AI (Claude) reads the email content
  • It extracts the service name, price, billing cycle, and renewal date
  • A new subscription is automatically created in your account
  • You'll see it appear in your app within seconds

You can also set up automatic forwarding rules in your email provider so future subscription emails are forwarded automatically.

Which email providers are supported?

Duely works with all major email providers:

  • Gmail
  • iCloud Mail
  • Outlook / Microsoft 365
  • Yahoo Mail
  • ProtonMail
  • Any other email provider that supports forwarding
What are verified sender emails?

Verified sender emails are the email addresses you use to forward subscription receipts. For security, Duely only processes emails forwarded from addresses you've verified.

  • Free users: Can add 1 verified sender email
  • Premium users: Can add up to 3 verified sender emails

This prevents unauthorized emails from being processed and keeps your subscription list accurate. You can manage your verified emails in Settings > Verified Emails.

Is my email data secure?

Yes! We take your privacy seriously:

  • We only extract subscription-related information (service name, price, dates)
  • Original email content is not permanently stored
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We never share your data with third parties for marketing

🔔 Reminders & Notifications

When will I receive reminders?

Free users: Can choose from 1 day or 3 days before renewal reminders, delivered at 9:00 AM.

Premium users: Full flexibility with reminders for 0, 1, 3, 7 days, plus custom days (14, 30, 60+). Premium users can also choose their preferred notification time (any hour from 6 AM to 11 PM).

Can I get email reminders too?

Yes! You can enable email reminders in Settings. When enabled, you'll receive both push notifications and email reminders at your preferred time.

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Check that notifications are enabled in iOS Settings > Duely > Notifications
  • Make sure "Push Notifications" is enabled in the app's Settings
  • Verify your subscription has a future renewal date
  • Check that your reminder days include the upcoming day (e.g., if renewal is tomorrow, "1 day before" should be enabled)
  • Try sending a test notification from Settings

What's included in Premium?

Premium unlocks these powerful features:

  • Unlimited Subscriptions: Free users can track up to 3 subscriptions. Premium removes this limit entirely.
  • 3 Verified Sender Emails: Add up to 3 email addresses for forwarding receipts. Free users get 1.
  • Custom Reminders: Set reminders for any number of days (0, 7, 14, 30+) and choose your preferred notification time. Free users get only 1 and 3 day reminders at 9 AM.
  • Spending Analytics: Beautiful charts showing spending by category, monthly trends, and insights. See where your money goes with interactive pie and line charts.
  • Price Hike Alerts: Get notified when services announce price increases, with old vs new price comparison and one-tap update.
  • Category Breakdown: See spending distribution across categories like Streaming, Music, Productivity, and more.
  • Monthly Spending Trends: Track how your subscription spending changes over time.
What do I get with the free plan?

The free plan includes everything you need to get started:

  • Track up to 3 subscriptions
  • 1 verified sender email address
  • AI-powered email parsing (forward subscription emails to auto-add)
  • Free trial tracking with countdown alerts
  • Push and email notifications
  • 1 and 3 day renewal reminders at 9 AM
  • Basic spending dashboard showing monthly/yearly totals

How do Price Hike Alerts work?

When a service you subscribe to announces a price increase, Duely notifies you with:

  • The current price you're paying
  • The new price that will take effect
  • When the new price becomes effective
  • One-tap button to update your subscription in the app

This gives you time to decide whether to keep the subscription or cancel before the price increase takes effect.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". This will restore your Premium status if you've previously purchased it with the same Apple ID.

📱 Subscription Management

What happens when a subscription renews?

Duely automatically advances your renewal date to the next billing cycle. For example:

  • Monthly subscriptions advance by 1 month
  • Yearly subscriptions advance by 1 year
  • Weekly subscriptions advance by 7 days

This happens automatically each day, so your renewal dates are always up to date.

Does Duely cancel subscriptions for me?

No, Duely is a tracking and reminder app. It doesn't have the ability to cancel subscriptions on your behalf. However, we provide:

  • Cancellation Links: When available, we show a direct link to the service's cancellation page.
  • Timely Reminders: We remind you before renewal so you have time to cancel if you want to.
Can I track free trials?

Yes! When adding a subscription, toggle on "Free Trial" and enter the trial end date. Duely will send you special reminders as your trial is ending, including:

  • 7 days before trial ends
  • 3 days before
  • 1 day before
  • On the last day

This helps you cancel before you're charged if you don't want to continue.

What subscription tiers are supported?

Duely supports different subscription tiers/plans. When adding a subscription, you can select the specific tier you're subscribed to (e.g., Netflix Basic, Netflix Premium, Spotify Family, etc.).

This is especially useful for Price Hike Alerts - you'll only be notified about price changes for your specific tier.

How do I track App Store or Google Play subscriptions?

For subscriptions you've purchased through the App Store or Google Play (like Netflix via App Store):

  • Forward receipt emails: Apple and Google send receipt emails when you subscribe or renew. Forward these to your Duely address.
  • Add manually: Tap + and search for the service. Select Apple One, Google Play Pass, or any service you subscribe to via app stores.
  • Check your subscriptions: On iOS, go to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions to see all your App Store subscriptions.

Note: Duely Premium is automatically added to your subscription list when you subscribe!

🔐 Account & Data

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data:

  • Go to Settings in the app
  • Scroll down and tap "Sign Out"
  • Contact support@getduely.app to request complete account deletion

All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.

Is my data synced across devices?

Yes! Your subscription data is securely synced to the cloud. When you sign in on a new device with the same Apple ID, all your subscriptions will be there.
