Automatically forward subscription emails from iCloud Mail or Apple Mail

Access iCloud Mail Settings

  1. Go to iCloud.com/mail and sign in
  2. Click the ⚙ī¸ gear icon at the top of the sidebar
  3. Select Settings
  4. Click on Rules

Create a Mail Rule

  1. Click Add a Rule
  2. Set up your conditions:
    • If a message: "Subject or body contains"
    • Contains: subscription
  3. Set the action:
    • Then: "Forward to"
    • Email: Enter your Duely address

  1. Click Add to save the rule
  2. Repeat for other keywords: renewal, receipt, billing

Create Rules for Specific Senders

For more reliable forwarding, create rules based on sender:

  1. Click Add a Rule
  2. Set condition: "is from" → enter sender domain
  3. Set action: "Forward to" → your Duely address

Recommended senders to add:

  • @netflix.com
  • @spotify.com
  • @email.apple.com
  • @amazon.com
  • @hulu.com

Open Mail Rules

  1. Open the Mail app on your Mac
  2. Go to Mail menu → Settings (or Preferences)
  3. Click the Rules tab
  4. Click Add Rule

Configure the Rule

  1. Description: Forward Subscriptions to Duely
  2. Set conditions using "any" to match multiple criteria:
    • "Subject" contains "subscription"
    • "Subject" contains "renewal"
    • "Subject" contains "receipt"
    • "Subject" contains "billing"
  3. Click the + button to add more conditions

Set Forward Action

  1. Under "Perform the following actions:"
  2. Select "Forward Message" from the dropdown
  3. Enter your Duely forwarding email:
    your-unique-id@inbound.getduely.app
  4. Click OK to save

💡 Tip: Check "Do not apply other rules" if you don't want other rules to process these emails.

⚠ī¸ Important: Mac Mail rules only work when the Mail app is open and running. For 24/7 forwarding, use iCloud Mail rules on the web instead.

iOS Mail Limitations

Unfortunately, the Mail app on iPhone and iPad does not support automatic forwarding rules directly.

Your options:

  • Use iCloud Web: Set up rules at iCloud.com/mail (recommended)
  • Use Mac Mail: Set up rules in the Mail app on a Mac
  • Manual forwarding: Forward emails manually from your iPhone

Quick Manual Forward on iPhone

To quickly forward a subscription email:

  1. Open the email in Mail
  2. Tap the Reply/Forward arrow at the bottom
  3. Tap Forward
  4. Enter your Duely address and send
